So is this guy for real - can he bring home the Wimbledon title?

No he can't. He isn't even in Federer's, Nadal's nor Djokovic's league. He still has a long way to go before he can battle it out with the big boys on the big stage.

Not this year. I see he is game three on Centre Court so I hopefully will get to catch most of it when I get home later. Having the home crowd behind you can really help, look at that epic Barry Cowen v Pete Sampras match from 2001. I know Pistol Pete was on the downswing of his career but still that was some performance helped by the crowd. Murray could go a long way in this years tournament but it is still probably a year or two away for him to be a genuine contender.

Good start for Muzza - straight sets W despite having that wobble in the second. Santoro wasn't an easy first round match so to win with relative ease was really quite impressive.

I've been watching some of his games when I have had a bit of spare time and he is playing really well currently. I agree that he isn't a title contender yet, but give him a few years and I think he can be up there playing well. But like I said, he is playing some great tennis at the moment, I think he has only dropped one set so far in all his games.

The real test will be this afternoon when he takes Center Court against Gasquet, who I think has beaten him both times they have played in the past two years.
