So is this guy for real - can he bring home the Wimbledon title? |

No he can't. He isn't even in Federer's, Nadal's nor Djokovic's league. He still has a long way to go before he can battle it out with the big boys on the big stage. |

Not this year. I see he is game three on Centre Court so I hopefully will get to catch most of it when I get home later. Having the home crowd behind you can really help, look at that epic Barry Cowen v Pete Sampras match from 2001. I know Pistol Pete was on the downswing of his career but still that was some performance helped by the crowd. Murray could go a long way in this years tournament but it is still probably a year or two away for him to be a genuine contender. |

Good start for Muzza - straight sets W despite having that wobble in the second. Santoro wasn't an easy first round match so to win with relative ease was really quite impressive. |

I've been watching some of his games when I have had a bit of spare time and he is playing really well currently. I agree that he isn't a title contender yet, but give him a few years and I think he can be up there playing well. But like I said, he is playing some great tennis at the moment, I think he has only dropped one set so far in all his games. The real test will be this afternoon when he takes Center Court against Gasquet, who I think has beaten him both times they have played in the past two years. Good luck to him! |
